CONNECTICUT MUSEUM FOR SCIENCE AND EXPLORATION
Hartford, Connecticut, USA, 2000–01
The Capital City Economic Development Authority engaged Lord Cultural Resources to develop the concept for a major public attraction at Adriaen's Landing. We undertook extensive community consultation, market analysis and a study of the natural and human heritage resources of the Hartford area, all of which resulted in a Concept Plan for a state-of-the-art Science Center that would incorporate aspects of the Connecticut River's natural history. The project is now going forward as the Connecticut Museum for Science and Exploration. We were proud to be part of Cesar Pelli's architectural team that won the competition for its design.
