FORT YORK NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE
Toronto, Ontario, 2008
Planning by the Fort York National Historic Site concluded that a Visitor Centre is needed to enhance the visitor experience, provide for support and service spaces to back up the operations of a superb historical site and heritage attraction. The Visitor Centre is needed to protect the historic fabric of the site to ensure that is preserved in all its authenticity for generations of residents and visitors. Lord Cultural Resources was commissioned to develop a Facilities Plan to serve as the foundation for design and construction. Lord Cultural Resources also consulted with the Director of the Fort York National Historic Site to complete a Business Plan, which will be presented to City Council in 2009.
