THE FRIST CENTER FOR THE VISUAL ARTS
Nashville, Tennessee, USA, 1995–2000

Lord Cultural Resources was commissioned by The Frist Foundation and the City of Nashville to develop and project manage the plans for The Frist Center for the Visual Arts. Our work evolved through site selection for the Center, the Functional Building Program, renovation and retrofit of the 1934 Broadway Post Office art deco building for gallery and museum purposes, planning of the popular interactive family and children's gallery, Artquest, to negotiations for the Center's opening season of outstanding exhibitions borrowed from major U.S. and Canadian art museums. The Frist Center for the Visual Arts opened April 8, 2001.
