GALICIA CITY OF CULTURE
Santiago de Compostela, Spain, 2006–07
Santiago de Compostela is one of Spain's most historically significant sites as it was one of the world's most important pilgrimage cities. The City of Culture will be a magnificent 142,000 sq. m. complex of cultural buildings designed by the renowned Peter Eisenman Architects of New York that will include facilities for art, theatrical productions, a national archives and a national library. The complex was conceived to promote cultural production and participation in the area. Lordcultura was commissioned to develop a content plan for this cultural complex that will be located on Mount Gaiás within the city.
