MUSÉE DU LOUVRE
Paris, France, 2004–05

Lord Cultural Resources was part of the French team with Pro-Développement who planned the Louvre's new Islamic Gallery in the Cour Visconti, Denon's wing. The new Islamic Gallery will gather Louvre's and UCAD's (Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs) collections. This will be among the most important collections of Islamic Art in the world presented in a contemporary building. Our team developed the exhibition content together with the curators of le Musée du Louvre in order to enhance the presentation of the Islamic Art. Lord Cultural Resources detailed the visitor experience and prepared a gallery concept to fulfill the expectations of a very diverse audience. We developed the interpretative plan outlining the culture of Islamic Art over vast geographic areas through history.
