MAISON DES CIVILISATIONS ET DE L’UNITÉ RÉUNIONNAISE
Reunion Island, France, 2007–10

Maison des Civilisations et de l'Unité Réunionnaise is the first contemporary cultural center dedicated to Reunion Island's history and culture. Mainly based on intangible heritage, the exhibition will help visitors understand the “creolization” process: a unique mix process of different cultures and movements that merged in the indo-oceanic area. Together with the multimedia design firm Reciproque, Lordculture was commissioned by the Region of Réunion to develop the interpretive plan. Lordculture is also in charge of project management and exhibition development from the concept to the opening of the museum.
