THE NATIONAL WORLD WAR II MUSEUM
New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, 2002–04

Opened on the fifty-sixth anniversary of the Allied invasion of occupied France during the Second World War, The National World War II Museum has become the national museum of America's participation in World War II. The Museum's decision to expand will enable it to fulfill its mission in a more complete and comprehensive way. Lord Cultural Resources developed a Concept Plan and Functional Program, providing the blueprints for the integration of the existing facilities, exhibitions and programs into a short- and long-term expansion plan on a greatly enlarged campus. Lord Cultural Resources was further commissioned to plan, design and manage the production of the prototype for a new series of interactive multi-media exhibits.
