ORANGE COUNTY MUSEUM OF ART
Newport Beach, California, 2005–06, 2007–10
The Orange County Museum of Art is the premier visual arts organization in Orange County, CA, serving a population of nearly three million residents in one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country. The museum's collection comprises nearly 2,500 objects, with a concentration on the art of California from the early 20th century to present. In 2005 Lord Cultural Resources was selected to undertake a Facilities Master Plan for the New Orange County Museum of Art. Subsequently, we were contracted to undertake a series of evaluations in three phases of the interpretive strategies enhancing the museum's permanent collection installation, Collection Histories /Collective Memories . Lord Cultural Resources designed and oversaw an evaluation process for each of the three exhibitions, and developed and facilitated training sessions for the Museum staff.
