SOUTHEAST MISSOURI REGIONAL MUSEUM
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, 2001–05
Southeast Missouri State University acquired a parcel of land overlooking the Mississippi River in Cape Girardeau for its new River Campus, which will house the School of Visual and Performing Arts in a combination of renovated and newly-built structures. The university museum, currently on the main campus, will be relocated to a new building on the site. Lord Cultural Resources, in association with Jacobs Facilities Inc., developed a Master Plan that outlines the concept for the new museum and the Institutional Plan. Lord Cultural Resources was subsequently engaged to complete the Functional Program, Exhibition Plan and Exhibition Design.
