Lord launches new services to help cultural institutions recover and thrive

Lord Cultural Resources is launching a new suite of services to help cultural institutions emerge from the pandemic shutdown stronger and more resilient than they began. The services address immediate concerns about engaging with audiences, supporters, and communities, as well as longer-term strategies for reopening, adapting, and thriving in the months and years to come.

“Many cultural-sector leaders have already realized that the changes they make during the shutdown will shape their organizations for many years to come,” said Gail Lord, President of Lord Cultural Resources. “They have to move quickly, and also be strategic. While they prepare for a ‘new normal,’ they can also use this disruptive moment to resolve longstanding structural issues.”

While each organization faces its own challenges in terms of government policies, audience needs and financial resources, and other factors there are five main areas that require urgent attention in the post pandemic world:

In all these areas, Lord experts offer coaching, to build organizations’ in-house skills and strengths, as well as consulting, to provide organizations with external expertise, capacity, and energy to see projects and initiatives of every size through to completion.

“We developed these services in response to what we’ve heard from clients and leaders in the cultural sector,” said Lord. “Of course, we all know that the situation keeps changing quickly, and that we’ll continue to face many unknowns. In the coming days and weeks, we will continue developing these services and adding new ones to ensure we’re best meeting the needs of cultural institutions around the world.”
