Project Experience

Jewish Museum of Greater Washington D.C.

2008, 2013-14

A successful initiative to save an 1876 synagogue in Washington D.C. led to development of a historical society devoted to telling the story of the Jewish community in the capital region. Over the years the Society has offered a variety of programs and exhibitions but would like to establish a permanent Jewish museum to better help it meet its objectives. The Society has identified a mixed use commercial site that would integrate the historic synagogue and a contemporary Jewish museum. Lord Cultural Resources was selected to prepare the business plan and to also offer strategic and facility planning advice.
