Our Heartfelt Tribute to Dr. Ahmed Ghazali
It is with great pain that we share the heartbreaking news of Dr. Ahmed Ghazali's sudden passing. Our dear esteemed associate passed away on Saturday, July 27th in Al Aayoun (Morocco), where he was on vacation with his family.
Ahmed was a highly trusted and respected colleague in the museum field. Lord first worked with him in 2017 on the Musée de l'Eau project in Marrakech, and collaborated many times since on multiple projects and initiatives in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Since February of this year, he was part of our team on the Attijari/Al-Mada Modern Art Museum project in Casablanca, to which he made invaluable contributions.
Ahmed lived between Barcelona and Casablanca. He had an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Quebec in Montreal, and a Ph.D from the National School of Bridges and Roads in Paris. He brought invaluable expertise in Arabic heritage, exhibition content, design and production, as well as rigorous research capabilities. He always generously supported his teammates and clients, and made a definitive contribution to the museum sector in Morocco and beyond.
Given our lasting friendship and tight collaboration, Ahmed was poised to become a Lord Thought Leader in September 2024, a relationship we were all greatly looking forward to.
His loss is profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of working with him. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and colleagues around the world.
