Two more mega museums open in Abu Dhabi
The Art Newspaper, December 2, 2025
Abu Dhabi capped a landmark year in culture with the opening of two major institutions on Saadiyat Island: Zayed National Museum and the Natural History Museum. “In less than 20 years, Saadiyat Island, just off the coast of the mainland city of Abu Dhabi, has been transformed from an empty expanse of sand into one of the greatest concentrations of art institutions and cultural venues in the world.”

OUR WORK IN THE NEWS |
Museums are in dynamic change, and their collections should be too
MuseumNext, Dec. 17
Our co-founder and partner Gail Lord recently spoke at the MuseumNext Forecast Summit, challenging museums to rethink their collections.
Collection expansion is a source of both dynamism and disaster, with the vast majority of museums lacking the wealth and power to make international acquisitions. Will advances in AI now make this approach finally possible?
“Now is the time to embrace a more generous approach to sharing the objects we care for so more people can enjoy them.”
