Find the Perfect Last-Minute Gift!

We’ve rounded up some fantastic ideas for the culture lovers on your list, from wrap-able items to experiential and charitable gifts as well. (Keep this list handy year-round!)

1) We are big fans of museum gift shops, and often find the coolest, just-right picks at our favourites. Or buy a year-long family pass or membership for a fabulous attraction near them. Tickets to a lecture series make a great gift, too.

2) Give tickets to a holiday lights display. Lightscape at The Brooklyn Botanic Garden offers a mile-long illuminated trail filled with new works of art and runs until January 1st.

3) My Modern Met is an incredible one-stop shop for gifts by makers from around the world, and even offers online art courses on everything from photographing your dog to turning pressed flowers into one-of-a-kind art.

4) Looking for gifts for the quirky, hard-to-buy-for people on your list? Check out this Curious Collection of Weird Gift Ideas, a  roundup of subscription services like a monthly delivery of scientist-curated artifacts, and a great art book gift guide.

5) Looking for something for the person who has everything? Make a donation in their name to their favourite cultural institution or charity. One we love: Canoo, an organization that offers newcomers to Canada free access to over 1,400 cultural venues and exclusive events across the country.

Happy gifting, and happy holidays from all of us at Lord!
