Happy Juneteenth!

Juneteenth is a day of reflection and celebration, and serves as a significant reminder of the extensive and ongoing pursuit of freedom and equality. Today is an opportunity to acknowledge our history, recognize the progress achieved and understand the work that lies ahead.

On Saturday, June 21st, Project Row Houses is offering a bus tour of the Third Ward Cultural DIstrict, inviting visitors and neighbors to explore its rich history and recognize and appreciate the area’s cultural assets.

Weeksville Heritage Center and Black-Owned Brooklyn are thrilled to present the fourth annual Juneteenth Food Festival, showcasing 29 top-tier food brands offering a range of culinary concepts. 

African American Museum in Philadelphia

Join AAMP for their Block Party and Free Museum Day, as they commemorate the 160th legacy of Juneteenth and celebrate its 49th anniversary as one of the first institutions funded and built by a major municipality to preserve, interpret and exhibit the heritage of African Americans.
