Mexico's President Announces the new Museo Nacional de Energía y Tecnología (MUNET)

Located in Mexico City's celebrated Bosque de Chapultepec, the Museo Nacional de Energía y Tecnología (MUNET), shall be a dynamic, cultural campus where visitors will come away with an appreciation of Mexico’s role as a leader in energy production, as well as clear recognition of the vital role that they play in achieving that goal. Designed by a leading Mexican architect Enrique Norten, the MUNET will house a world-class museum, an energy and technology educational institute for innovation and investigation, and a world energy congress center. The MUNET’s mission is to become a centre of innovation, education, and entertainment to create and communicate knowledge of these sectors for the broad public and prepare children and young people for careers in energy and technology.

Lord Cultural Resources was engaged by MUNET in 2014 and is honoured to be working on this most prestigious project and to be part of an incredible project team. Lord was commissioned by MUNET to work closely and collaborate with the client team, architects and the exhibit designers to develop space planning and functional programming for the cultural campus, a five year business plan, human resources planning including staffing requirements and training, education and learning programs for all ages with a focus on helping young people become ready for 21st century jobs, partnership development, and drafting policies and procedures to guide the day-to-day operations of the Museum.
