Five cultural anchors of Saadiyat Island

“The centrepiece of the cultural development, the soaring Zayed National Museum is named after UAE founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and dedicated to the history, culture and landscape of the Emirates. Set on a coastal site, the sprawling Natural History Museum is contained within a series of white-concrete forms to resemble rock formations.”
In 2006, we were engaged to complete the original Master Plan for the Sheikh Zayed National Museum. Our concept was centred on the core values of Sheikh Zayed, which formed the guiding principles on which the UAE was founded. We also provided master planning, governance and partnership strategy for the region’s largest National History Museum – an immersive 35,000 m² journey through 13.8 billion years of life.

A civil rights museum is opening in Harlem this year

When it does, it will become the city’s first museum dedicated entirely to the American civil rights movement—and one that deliberately shifts the spotlight north.”
