Project Experience

Army Museum of Singapore

1992

Lord Cultural Resources was engaged by the Singapore Army to develop plans for the new Army Museum of Singapore to be located at the Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute. The first stage of the work resulted in the production of a project prospectus, describing the concept for the new museum, its exhibitions and programmes, and outlining facility and operational requirements.

Lord Cultural Resources then provided exhibition planning and designer services. The exhibition is interactive and immersive, presenting major milestones in the Army’s history. Army life, training and deployment are explored though the eyes of individual soldiers. The object theatre complete with helicopter and tank is definitely one of the highlight experiences. We managed the exhibition production and installation process to opening day, working with fabricators and suppliers in Singapore to realize the vision for this project.
