Senior Consultant, US

Job Description

This role is based in California, within the LA metropolitan region, and reports to the US Director of Lord Cultural Resources. It is a fully remote position with the expectation of once-monthly catalyst days in Lord’s office in Long Beach, CA.

 As Lord continues to build its client portfolio within the western region of the US, we are looking for a Senior Consultant to help manage and support multi-phase projects across a range of services, including but not limited to cultural planning, strategic planning for nonprofit arts organizations, business plans and feasibility studies for new and existing cultural facilities, and public art and placemaking strategies for cities and municipalities. In this role, you will be responsible for project managing complex client projects, liaising with client teams, and conducting the day-to-day workstreams of assigned projects, including coaching or supervising the work of more junior associates. This will require strong writing, strategic thinking and analytical skills and the ability to partner well with key project stakeholders and client teams to understand the context and objective of their existing plans and future needs.

 Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 Conducting secondary and primary research related to cultural planning and museum management, including obtaining and interpreting quantitative and financial data; conducting qualitative stakeholder or key informant interviews or facilitating focus groups and recording and analyzing related data; preparing synopses and summaries of studies, client documents/reports, and interviews.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must have an excellent work ethic; possess the motivation and willingness to learn on the job; and be comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities simultaneously. This requires a high-level of attention for detail and impeccable time and project management skills. The successful candidate must also have a genuine enthusiasm in museums, culture, and the arts.

Compensation Information

Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
