NATIONAL MUSEUM OF KOREA
Seoul, 1995
The Korean Institute of Architects invited Lord Cultural Resources to join them in the development of the Architectural Competition Program for the world-wide search for an architect to design Korea's new National Museum. The resultant Program was an outstanding model for such international competitions, having drawn the interest of hundreds of architects from around the world. The Program was adopted as the Program for design, and the Museum was built to achieve it. The new Museum comprises 138,000 sq.m., and is 424 m. long across the façade, making it the largest museum in Asia, and the sixth largest in the world. The new National Museum of Korea opened in the Yongsan district of Seoul in October 2005.
