Nunavut Heritage Centre

2001-02, 2005

The Nunavut Heritage Centre will become a resource and focus for cultural enrichment through
a range of educational, cultural and inspirational programs, open to residents and visitors year round. The proposed Centre will integrate visitor information and orientation to the natural and cultural heritage resources of the Territory with a museum/interpretive service for all residents, interpreting and strengthening all aspects of the cultural and natural history of Nunavut. A full-service collection facility will be key to the viability of this important new resource; however, satellite programming centres, outreach to a national and international audience via publications and the Internet will increase its reach and ensure that the Centre serves the needs for all of Nunavut. Lord Cultural Resources was contracted to complete the Feasibility Study in collaboration with Consilium.

In 2005, Lord Cultural Resources was contracted to complete the Capital Financing Study for the Nunavut Heritage Centre.
