Groundbreaking: Clara Luper Civil Rights Center

Lord Cultural Resources is pleased to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Clara Luper Civil Rights Center, marking a major milestone in the creation of a new cultural destination dedicated to preserving and sharing Oklahoma's civil rights history. President and Managing Partner Joy Bailey-Bryant will be in attendance.

 

Named in honor of educator and civil rights leader Clara Luper, the Center will be built adjacent to the historic Freedom Center and will serve as both an interpretive museum and community gathering place. The project will inspire visitors through exhibitions, educational programming, and spaces designed for dialogue, learning, and civic engagement.

 

Lord was honored to serve as the project's interpretive planning consultant, working with the project team to develop the visitor experience and storytelling framework for this important institution.
