Are you committed to learning how to make outstanding museums and cultural institutions? Are you creative and passionate? Would you like to interact with and learn from some of the world’s leading museum and cultural professionals?

The Lord Cultural Resources Internship program may be for you!

Interns at Lord Cultural Resources gain broad experience that carries them toward professional careers in the cultural sector. They contribute directly to current projects, conduct research, and have input into internal strategic initiatives. Interns work closely with professional consulting staff and have the opportunity to choose a focus in Strategy and Management, Facilities Planning or Exhibitions. We also offer internships focused on business operations in Graphic Communications, Special Libraries and Knowledge Management, Marketing and Communications, and Human Resources.

Our internships are structured to meet your academic or career goals. We work hard to provide Interns with rare opportunities to gain practical experience, increase exposure, and develop lasting relationships with professionals within the cultural sector. An Internship at Lord Cultural Resources is an exciting and rewarding experience that provides you with new skills, valuable experience, and a network of professional contacts that will serve you well throughout your career.

How to Apply

Application Process:  To be considered for the Lord Cultural Resources Internship Program please submit the following details to hr@lord.ca:

  1. Cover Letter, which includes:
    • Why you want to participate in the program
    • How would your internship relate to your previous experience and benefit your future goals
    • What special skills, qualifications, or experience you will bring to your placement
    • If your internship is being completed for academic credit, details of the program and requirements for your program
  2. Resumé
  3. List of 3 professional or academic references with contact details
  4. A portfolio sample reflecting the type of work you have done that relates to the area in which you would prefer to focus your Internship (e.g. writing, design samples as applicable).

Selection Process: Internship are offered year round and timed to meet the needs of your schedule. Selections are based upon educational background and achievements, relevant life and work experiences, and our ability to help you achieve your goals.

Timing of Process: We are happy to receive your application at anytime. Please provide sufficient time for consideration.

Please Note: Interns are responsible for coordinating their own visa, accommodation, transportation, and other expenses.
