Dresden Castle

2002

Dresden Castle in the heart of the City of Dresden has been renovated after standing in ruins since 1945. After its reopening, which proceeded in stages, the Castle houses four collections that are part of the Saxon State Art Collection, among them the renowned Green Vault jewellery collection which is returning to its original setting of 1733.

The State of Saxony in collaboration with the State Collections commissioned Lord Cultural Resources to review the existing plans for the castle lobby and the visitor circulation in the castle. Our planning led to an alternative plan for the lobby and all visitor service areas such as shop, café, coatroom and other facilities.
