Project Experience

Huron Perth Ag Science Centre

2020-21

Lord Cultural Resources was selected to conduct a feasibility study for a children’s museum to be located in North Perth, a small municipality that serves a substantially agricultural rural region. To avoid potential duplication with an existing children’s museum in the larger region and to widen the age focus, we recommended a modification of the concept to be an agriculture-focused science centre – the Huron Perth Ag Science Centre - that would also include an area for very young children.

The feasibility study included both facility and business planning and strategies to increase the likelihood of financial support from private and government sources.

As part of a testimonial letter to Lord Cultural Resources, the Chairperson of the Steering Committee wrote: “We appreciate that you took the time to recognize what makes our community unique [and] that you have set us up for success…. This experience has been invaluable, in both the outcome of the study, and everything that was learned along the way….”
