Project Experience

Santralistanbul

2008

In 2007, the Istanbul Bilgi University opened two exhibition halls on its Santralistanbul campus. The two exhibition halls - an Energy Museum and a Contemporary Arts Centre - were housed within the former building of the very first power station of the Ottoman Empire.

The University appointed Lordculture, the European company of Lord Cultural Resources, to conduct a qualitative evaluation of the two galleries’ opening. Lordculture devised the scope and methodology of a visitor study with the objective to broaden the appeal of the site to make it attractive to people who are not regular museum visitors and develop the overall experience of visiting the Santralistanbul more meaningful. Lordculture also defined the identity of the site and both galleries and provided the framework for a potential marketing plan.
