Project Experience

Royal Ontario Museum, Connection Stations
The Royal Ontario Museum is one of North America's largest museums. It showcases art, culture, and natural history in a range of diverse programs such as world-class exhibits, interactive exhibits, workshops, and more. The museum actively collects and preserves artifacts, supporting global research in art, culture and natural history. Through innovative exhibitions and outreach initiatives, ROM fosters curiosity, inspiring learning about the world’s past, present and future.
In 2024, Lord Cultural Resources was hired to work closely with ROM interpretive planners to conceptualize a suite of mobile, interactive stations to prompt visitors to consider their lived experiences and unconscious biases, with the ultimate aim of instilling social cohesion. A total of five unique stations were developed, two of which featured a multimedia gamified experience. Working in partnership with KubikMaltbie and NGX, Lord facilitated creative visioning workshops, developed an interpretive plan, and collaborated closely with ROM staff on selecting objects and developing content for printed and digital exhibits. The stations opened in March 2025.
